Orange Oil Termite Treatments

The Hunt

Your XT-2000 Orange Oil Certified inspector will first locate all of the areas of termite infestation in your home; all inspectors regardless of type of treatment require this step.

We use a boroscope to further identify the termite infestation. A boroscope is an optical viewing device similar to the tiny cameras used in arthroscopic surgery and other medical procedures to give doctors a clear view of what is going on inside the body We take the same idea, but instead of looking into a body, we are looking into your walls where you normally cannot see.

With the boroscope, we can identify all the areas of termite infestation and treat them with laser-like precision.

We Treat Your Home Right!

We use a precise, comprehensive drill and treat method.

If you’ve ever removed a nail from your wall and patched the hole, you have an idea of the drill
and treat method. First, we drill a series of holes in infested walls. Then, we inject XT-2000
Orange Oil into the holes, where it spreads throughout the wood beams, killing termites and
termite eggs … on contact. When applied correctly, there’s no escape for termites.

Once the holes are patched and painted, you’d never know the technician was there. Only the
sweet smell of oranges remains.

How It Works

We use a precise, comprehensive drill and treat method.

What is Orange Oil?

In simplest terms, the active ingredient in XT-2000 Orange Oil is the oily substance found in the rinds of oranges. Orange Oil is used in cleaning solutions, pet shampoos, soaps, and perfumes. Look in your cabinets; you probably already use products containing orange oil.

Orange Oil is Also Called D-limonene

Limonene is a chemical found in plants, flowers and trees. D-limonene is the chemical name for orange oil. It’s a renewable resource and is a by-product of orange juice manufacturing.

How We Get XT-2000 Orange Oil

We distill orange rinds to extract the oil.

  • Oranges are peeled and squeezed to make the orange juice found on your breakfast table
  • Next, orange peels are pressed to make food grade oil
  • Finally, the orange peels are distilled to produce technical grade oil

That’s it… the technical grade orange oil is then formulated for use as a highly effective treatment for drywood termites.

XT-2000 Orange Oil is Toxic to Termites.

When XT-2000 Orange Oil comes in contact with a termite, it destroys the wax coating of the termite’s respiratory system. XT-2000 Orange Oil suffocates termites to death!

D-limonene has been used as an insecticide since 1958.

A Renewable Resource

We all do what we can to make a difference, whether it’s recycling or energy conservation. Why should pest control be any different? It’s a completely renewable resource that comes from oranges. It’s not classified as a toxic air contaminant or a synthetic chemical.

You can use XT-2000 Orange Oil and rest assured that your termite problem is gone and you have used a renewable resource and not supported the use of synthetic chemicals.

No Magic Cure

Termites are over 100 million years old and they are not going away soon. No matter what treatment you choose, even ours, termites may find their way back. No matter what anyone tells you, there is no magic cure.

The best way to deal with termites is to think of the treatment as ongoing maintenance.

Contrary to popular belief, fumigation is a one-time kill. Fumigation does not prevent future infestations, and pest control companies will tell you that. Future infestations require additional treatment which, in the case of fumigation, means either new chemicals or another moving experience as your home is tented again.

No matter if it is a primary treatment or a retreatment, XT-2000 Orange Oil does the job
